  • create a new collection
  • insert data into the collection
  • return values from the collection

Assuming you have a MongoDb running locally you can use the default mongoDb connection url:

the simple mule mongo configuration can define a new collection

Inserting (Json) Data into the Database

In a very similar process ..

  • json data can be posted into a flow.
  • a Mongo Db Transformer can be used to transform the json object to a mongodDB object

  • Convert the json to dbObject
  • Insert Object

Verify the Object with RoboMongo client

Note their syntax seems different from RoboMongo where json must be property enclosed in quotes e.g

db['mule-stuff'].find({ "data" : "this is my data" })
